California Cronus

A discovered character within the otherwise casual abstraction contains the devouring head of Cronus as he eats one of his children. Also known as the Greek God Saturn who Francisco de Goya depicted in one of his most famous works, the God is basically paranoid that his children will outshine him so he devours them as a way to curtail their power and extend his own. The obsession of cultural power players with youth is a living testament to the continuing influence of the archetype Cronus on civilization writ large.
