Allegories

Abstract painting for me is a realm of pareidolia, not long after activating a
picture plane with some paint, my mind begins to pick out the latent and hidden
imagery there. Some paintings start with sketches and in those cases, the
discovery of objects was made before painting. In others, the discovery is made
in the process of painting itself. The challenge is not to spell out what I see too
clearly in order to leave room for the viewer to discover what they may. Let them
see what they see, but I see a story, thus, allegorical abstractions.
